I started water skiing when I was around 6 at Lake Arrowhead.  Chris Crafts, Mandellas, outboards, inboards I've skiied behind them all.  Slalom, speed, two skis, single ski, trick skiing . . . I've done it all.  I was an original member of the Lake Arrowhead Water Ski Club and taught water skiing at the McKenzie Ski School at the Lake Arrowhead Village Beach.  Water skiing is really fun and challenging.  Hanging onto a rope from a boat traveling at between 25 and 50 mph for 20 or 60 minutes on rough water, crossing the wake, jumping the wake and doing some other tricks along the way takes stamina.  Anyway, here's a few sites for more information on water skiing.  Oh, I pretty much quit water skiing when I discovered surfing . . . . in surfing you don't have to depend upon a boat or driver to get your fun.
